Ocean Film's new R&D platform introduces the SpectroCamTM Multispectral Imager (MSI), which combines a scientific-grade charge-coupled device array with a precision rotating optical filter wheel to create the world's first fully configurable Spectral imager. Applications include water quality measurement, product screening, machine vision, medical imaging, monitoring, and verification.

The SpectroCamTM Multispectral Imager SpectroCam Imager complements single point spectra by adding new spectral measurement dimensions. With a single-point spectrometer, users can analyze the difference in spectra on different samples. Then select the discrete filters in and around the spectral region where the difference is most noticeable. After that, users can use the SpectroCam imager to create a vivid sample difference map.

At the heart of the SpectroCam imager is a broadband charge-coupled device that is sensitive to visible light passing through the near-infrared spectrum. The system's precision filter turntables and optics can be customized to meet a variety of application needs. The imaging speed is 20 fps at full resolution, and the standard F-Mount configuration is compatible with a range of lenses, focal lengths, and fields of view. Each system includes a lens, eight standard interchangeable filters, and software.

In collaboration with Ocean Optics, a leading manufacturer of micro-spectrometers, Ocean Membrane has invented the device. From college researchers to original equipment manufacturers with strong manufacturing capabilities, the multispectral imager will enter everyone’s life. Interchangeable optical filters and continuous rotation filter turntables overcome many of the problems encountered with prismatic multispectral imaging systems. With interchangeable filters, users can experiment with a variety of filters and narrow the best filters after comparison, greatly reducing development time and marketing time for customer products.

The SpectroCam platform can be easily integrated with a variety of original equipment manufacturing systems and modified to meet specific mechanical and environmental requirements.
