·6 years and 11 accidents, Google’s self-driving car has never been responsible

Google said that the company's self-driving car test has been involved in 11 small accidents in the past six years, but has never been responsible for the accident.
Chris Urmson, Google's auto-driving car project director, said in a blog post on the technology platform Backchannel that the Google self-driving car completed a test of 1.7 million miles (about 2.74 million kilometers). During the period, a combination of manual and automatic driving was used. In all accidents, most of the crashes were Google's test cars being chased, some accidents on the highway, and some happening at the waiting time. These accidents caused problems such as damage to the car, but no one was injured.
Google’s investment in autonomous vehicles is part of its internal project, Google X, which focuses on long-term opportunities for cutting-edge technology. Google uses security as a selling point for self-driving cars, which use sensors, maps, and other tools to avoid accidents caused by human driving.
“We are pondering how to assess our progress and the impact on road safety,” said Umson. “We will continue to conduct thousands of miles of testing so that we can better understand the common occurrences in everyday driving. The cause of the accident, and will continue to work hard to develop autonomous vehicles that can afford this burden for us."
The Associated Press reported earlier that California document records show that since September last year, three Google self-driving cars have been involved in traffic accidents in California.
Google relies on people in the car and related autonomous driving techniques to drive the car during the autonomous car test. “Even if our software and sensors can detect a tough traffic environment and take action earlier and faster than a vigilant human driver, sometimes we can't overcome the realities of speed and distance,” says Emerson. “Sometimes we are being chased after waiting for the traffic lights.”

Reno Mattress

Gabion mattresses are used for river bank and scour protection, channel linings for erosion control, and embankment stability. They are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures to promote rapid growth of natural vegetation. The base section of the Gabion mattress is divided into compartments and filled with stones at the project site. With lids secured, Gabion mattresses form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures.
