BASF is developing high-throughput screening equipment for testing paint raw materials

<

BASF's Functional Chemicals Division and Bosch's Experimental Systems Business Unit in Germany are working together to develop a High-throughput screening device that can quickly detect pigments, resins and additives in paint formulations. This ultra-modern automatic detection equipment will be used at the Ludwig plant in BASF at the end of 2006 and is expected to be accepted by domestic and foreign customers next year. The equipment is very versatile and can be used not only for the analysis of single-component, two-component solvent-based coatings, but also for all coating applications such as coil coatings, waterborne coatings and UV-curing coatings.
