Chemical industry "three wastes" comprehensive utilization annual output value of 6.2 billion yuan

According to preliminary statistics, China's oil and chemical industry, "three wastes," the current annual total value of comprehensive utilization of 6.2 billion, of which solid waste annual comprehensive utilization of 59.75 million tons, more than 75%. This was disclosed by Li Yongwu, president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, at the just-concluded national chemical industry circular economy exchange meeting.

Li Yongwu said that the industrial characteristics of the chemical industry determine that the industry must pay attention to the recycling and recycling of industrial waste in order to improve the economic efficiency of enterprises and improve the environment. In order to turn waste into treasure, in recent years the state has done a lot of work in this area, especially the implementation of circular economy, so that a group of outstanding enterprises with energy saving, consumption reduction, pollution reduction, and efficiency increase are emerging. Such as Zhejiang Juhua Group, through the recycling of waste gas, waste residue, smoke dust research and comprehensive treatment, "Tenth Five-Year" period, "three wastes" recycling and average annual profit of up to 80 million yuan. Xinjiang Tianye Group adopts a combined absorption-analysis process to recycle hydrogen chloride gas, increase annual sales income by 65 million yuan, and realize a profit of 10 million yuan.

Li Yongwu said that although the use of “three wastes” in China reflects the unified requirements for economy, environment and social benefits to a certain extent, the comprehensive utilization of “three wastes” in the chemical industry still has great potential to be tapped. It is understood that China is a large chemical production country, but it is not a chemical and technological power. As there is a big gap between technology and equipment and other advanced international standards, China's chemical industry is currently not only a big energy consumer, but also a big polluter. In 2004, various energy sources such as coal, electricity, natural gas and refined oil consumed by the oil and chemical industries in the country were equivalent to 250 million tons of standard coal, accounting for 16% of the total energy consumption in the country. The exhaust gas, waste water and waste residue were all in the national industry. The first, fourth and fifth places of waste discharge, among which COD, sulfur dioxide and other major pollutants rank the forefront of various industrial sectors.

According to the statistics at the meeting, after more than 50 years of development, China's oil and chemical industry has achieved a total industrial output value of more than 3.3 trillion yuan in 2005. The output of over 20 major products ranks among the top in the world.
