Box Alarm in Brookfield, 6/25/15

<

I just got this update from Josh Boyajian: Yesterday afternoon, Brookfield responded to a box alarm at 3308 South Sunnyside Avenue. The first-in crews reported heavy smoke coming from the attic. They made a strong effort to control the fire but unfortunately couldn't get it under control. Due to the dangerous conditions, command ordered an evacuation of all personnel and switched to a defensive strategy. Four hand lines were being used, and Riverside's ladder truck was on standby. Here are some photos and a short video from the scene. Here are more photos from the incident: [Image Description: Firefighters battling flames inside a home. I hope the firefighters were able to limit the damage as much as possible. If anyone has more details or updates, feel free to share them in the comments below. Stay safe, everyone!
