Fujitsu and Fujitsu Laboratories have announced the development of the world's first commercial 10Gb small form factor pluggable (XFP) type optical transceiver for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM). This transceiver can be used to develop and manufacture high-speed DWDM optical transmission equipment that is smaller and less expensive. The product will be available in March 2006.
