Product Description
Pneumatic Trunnion Ball Valves are widely used for on-off control of air, water, oil, and other compatible media. These valves are designed with a three-piece investment cast body that allows for easy maintenance by swinging out the body. The spring-return actuator uses an air pressure signal (80–120 psi) to open the valve and relies on springs to close it in case of air pressure loss, ensuring a fail-safe operation. The maximum working temperature of the assembly is 180°F (80°C). An optional valve mounting kit can extend the media temperature range up to 300°F (150°C), making it suitable for steam applications up to 50 psi.
Compared to other types of valves, pneumatic ball valves offer advantages such as higher flow rates, higher pressure ratings, broader media compatibility, straight-through flow paths, reduced water hammer, and suitability for hazardous environments. These valves can be installed in any orientation, providing flexibility during installation.
