Rotary drum flaker is a kind of rotating continuous drying equipment with internal heating conducting function. The material film will stick to the bottom of the rotating cylinder. The heat is transferred to the internal wall of the cylinder through piping system and it will be conducted to the external wall and material film. The moisture of the wet material film will be easily evaporated and the dried material will be scraped from the cylinder surface and transfer to the packing area by the screw conveyor. Working fire in Chicago, 7-9-18
Hey everyone,
This message is from Steve Redick. He just sent me some updates about a recent fire incident at an auto repair shop. It seemed pretty concerning at first, but thankfully, it was brought under control fairly quickly. Interestingly enough, this location is right across the street from where another tragic fire happened back in 1972, which sadly resulted in the loss of two firefighters' lives.
For those interested, here are some photos Steve took during the event. They give a good sense of what happened and how things unfolded:

Interestingly, I came across this old news clipping from the fatal fire that occurred at 6117 N Elston Ave back in the day. It's a somber reminder of why safety measures have become so crucial over the years.

If you want to see a larger version of this clipping, just click on the image itself.
Overall, it's been quite the eventful day with these developments. Let's hope that everyone involved remains safe and that lessons learned from past incidents continue to improve our response strategies moving forward.
Take care,
