The “Research on Energy-saving Rotational Measurement Technology for Ship Main Engines” developed by the research team of Sinotrans Changhang Nanjing Changjiang Oil Transportation Co., Ltd. is a technical breakthrough for this international shipping industry.

The project team started the actual ship test in October 2008, conducted hundreds of tests on the 10,000-ton tanker fleet, collected tens of thousands of test data, and finally succeeded. The research and development results, the ship speed signal and the main fuel consumption signal are automatically analyzed, which can directly display the fuel consumption of the ship unit from the host. By selecting the minimum fuel consumption of the ship unit, the best energy saving effect can be achieved, thus solving this problem. A shipping industry's problems provide new thinking and methods. Huang Zhenghan, one of the inventors and deputy general manager of Nanjing Changjiang Oil Transportation Co., introduced that in the test, they used a 14,000-ton cargo tow barge fleet to arrive in Nanjing from Wuhan, driving at the speed of the traditional ship's main engine. More than 9 tons of oil, after the modification of the ship's main energy-saving speed device, the fuel consumption is only 6 tons, fuel economy 30%.

Wang Tao, general manager of Nanjing Changjiang Oil Transportation Co., said that they will promote the use of this new technology on tugboats on the Yangtze River route, Xinpingjiang oil tanker and 2,400 tons, 5,000 tons of oil tankers, etc., and gradually push it forward, which will generate considerable energy saving. Efficiency.
