This strategic move significantly enhanced the global presence of Double Star Tire. Recently, a Chilean customer made a significant visit to Double Star. This client had been a long-time partner of the original Dongfeng Tire Company, having signed a $1.5 million tire purchase agreement in 2002. However, since Dongfeng Tire ceased operations, the contract was never fulfilled. Despite this, the customer maintained a strong relationship with the previous company and closely followed the development of Double Star Dongfeng Tire. In May of this year, upon learning that the company had successfully resumed production, he traveled to Double Star to discuss potential cooperation and ultimately signed a major procurement contract worth over $14 million, including passenger car tires from Double Star Dongfeng Tire. The customer has already transferred the full payment into Double Star’s account, showing his strong confidence in the company.
The customer mentioned that this deal is just the beginning. He expressed interest in becoming an exclusive agent for Double Star tires once the product line expands. His goal is to surpass the order volume previously achieved with Dongfeng Tire within a short time, helping Double Star grow stronger and more competitive globally.

This was the first annual on-site follow-up audit for the company’s ISO/TS16949 quality management system. The auditors praised the company’s corporate culture, standardized operations, and comprehensive quality control processes, giving it a positive evaluation.
During the five-day audit, BSI experts conducted thorough inspections of all aspects of the company’s quality management. After visiting the production site, they observed the company’s commitment to quality and integrity. They were particularly impressed by the unique quality management model developed by Double Star, which includes effective leadership and operational practices. The auditors noted that the implementation of ISO/TS16949 at Double Star not only met the standard but also extended its principles in a practical and meaningful way. This achievement further solidifies Double Star’s position as a reliable and innovative player in the global tire industry.
