The DC high voltage generator is provided with over-voltage protection, over-current protection and internal power protection. Over-voltage protection and over-current protection can be set by external parties. The power protection is determined when the instrument is shipped from the factory and cannot be determined externally.
(1) Overcurrent protection
During the test, if you do not need to set, you can turn the current setting knob clockwise to the maximum. At this moment, the over-current protection is over the rated output current and the over-current protection indicator (yellow) is on. If it is necessary to set the overcurrent protection value, before the test, you can first connect the test object, turn the current setting knob clockwise to the maximum, and then press the above.
(2) Overvoltage protection
During the test, if you do not need to set, you can turn the voltage setting knob clockwise to the maximum, then the overvoltage protection will exceed the rated output voltage, and the overvoltage protection indicator (yellow) will be on. If you need to set the overvoltage protection value, before the test, you can not connect the test object first, turn the voltage setting knob clockwise to the maximum, then press the above operation to boost the voltage to the required voltage value, and then adjust the voltage setting knob If the overvoltage protection value is turned counterclockwise and the overvoltage protection indicator (yellow) is on, the overvoltage protection value is set. Then turn off the power switch, use the grounding rod to discharge the high voltage ground, then connect the test sample to test. At this time, when the test voltage exceeds the set value, it will automatically cut off the high voltage, overvoltage protection action.
