The single-hydrocarbon products of deep processing of natural gas in Zhongyuan Oilfield enter the international market
The first shipment of high-purity isobutylene from China National Crude Gas Co., Ltd.'s Natural Gas Processing Plant to Indonesia has successfully left Tianjin Port, marking a significant milestone for the company. This is the first time the firm has entered the international market with a single-hydrocarbon natural gas product, following previous exports of light hydrocarbon products to Taiwan, Iran, Pakistan, and South Korea. The move highlights the company’s growing global presence and its commitment to expanding its reach beyond regional markets.
The plant is one of the largest natural gas processing facilities in the country, specializing in the deep processing of light hydrocarbons. It is also home to China's first and largest 50,000-ton-per-year separation facility for aerosol-grade butane, used as a propellant. Among its key products is high-purity isobutane, a freon alternative developed in 2001 with a purity exceeding 99.7%. This product has been recognized with the "First Prize of Henan Provincial Petrochemical System Scientific and Technological Progress" and was classified as a "High-tech Product" by the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Commission. It is widely supplied to major companies like Shanghai Ek Shing Refrigeration Co.
In response to the challenges posed by fluctuating chemical prices and intense competition in both domestic and international markets, the plant has adopted a comprehensive strategy.
