Auto parts supplier ZF Corporation reorganizes after-sales and service business

<

At the beginning of 2008, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, an automotive parts supplier, carried out the reorganization of its after-sales and service organizations. ZF Trading, which was originally responsible for the global parts trade business, and ZF SSO, which is responsible for sales and after-sales services, were merged into the new ZF Services business unit. On this basis, the ZF Group's international after-sales service will be further expanded.

The new ZF Services business unit will be responsible for all of the Group's after-sales activities worldwide.

The merger of the two independent business units laid the foundation for the ZF Group's ability to achieve broader growth and the exploration of potential resources. The new business unit will provide ZF's existing customers with a more complete market image with a more efficient service plan. At the same time, in order to achieve this goal, ZF will launch a powerful sales and service network covering 650 service outlets worldwide. At present, the Group's after-sales markets and service activities in China, Singapore, and Australia have been fully integrated and reorganized. The goal is to ensure the smooth implementation of the Group's international market's harmonious progress and after-sales strategy. In the future, the after-sales service center of ZF's business department will also be more nearly perfect to conduct business. ZF CEO Hans-George H?rter succinctly summarized the strategic concept of the group's restructuring: "We hope ZF Services can make the greatest contribution to the group's value."

The newly established ZF Services business unit employs 2,500 people in 40 organizations around the world. The department integrated four post-sale brands: Sachs, Lemförder, Boge and ZF Parts. It is expected that sales and service revenue will reach 1.2 billion euros in 2008. Mr. Alois Ludwig, who is currently the Director of the ZF Trading Department, will be responsible for the new business units at the company headquarters in Schweinfurt and Friedrichshafen. In addition to his previous trading business, Mr. Ludwig will also serve as chairman of the ZF Services business unit, so he will also be responsible for the marketing, communications, and human resources work of the business unit. Mr. Matthias Benz was also appointed Director of the ZF Services Department, responsible for global sales and service organizations in Friedrichshafen, managing the company's development, organization and legal work. In addition, Finance, Cost Control, IT, Procurement and Logistics will be solely responsible for the other Director Director, Christian Haedge.

The current priority is to rely on the merger of this project to complete the integration of the two business entities. This combined project can further explore the potential of cross-selling by the group, consolidate resources at the workplace, and develop a broader business area.

Mr. Ludwig emphasized: “At this time, the successful use of logistics, resource integration of facilities and finding the right time to enter the market are very important and critical.” The new organizational structure after the reorganization will make retail channels more open. The wider range of accessories and the application of international service networks will make new business areas more robust and developable.
